This beautiful mountain is the most photographed set of mountains in North America. The Maroon Bells, a series of distinctively bell-shaped, wine-colored peaks towering 14,000 ft. above the pristine, glacial Maroon Creek Valley, offer some of the most spectacular natural views in the world.
Part of Colorado State Highway 82, passes over the Continental Divide between Leadville and Aspen, Colorado. It twists around stunning groves of aspen trees and hugs the Roaring Fork River. The road is steep, narrow, and twisty with only a few guardrails.
There are several trails to enjoy right off of the pass ranging from easy to difficult depending on your interests and hiking level.
